I ended up making three of these! They were so fun to make! The last two are inspired from the song "If I ruled the World" by Nas. I knew that I was going to insert myself somewhere within the image, but it took a while to find the right photo of myself. One of them is more photography geared, with me holding my camera 'taking over the world'. The other one is more of me imaging what it would be like to rule the world. The very first image was inspired by the last two as well as by a song titled "Blue Ocean Floor" by Justin Timberlake. I think that one is my favorite of the three; I wanted it to be very dream-like and space-age style.

Jay Adams
I added a transparent bar at the bottom of the image to give it more of a news-cast feeling. I think I broke up the logos and text neatly enough so that it isn't overwhelming in one image. I corrected the grey hair he has and also softened the wrinkle lines on his face. I decided to keep the background as is to give a more natural feel.

Custom Scene
I created a starry night scene with bare trees. I created brushes out of the trees as well as the grass. I created my own custom pattern for the walkway as well. I tried to make the moon look as spherical as possible too!

Self-Insertion
Here are the two self-insertions I have done; I couldn't choose which one was the best. Here are the original backgrounds:
& here is the image of myself that I originally used:
I deleted the shadow of myself because the angle of it was very different than the shadows in the two scenes I chose.

Vector Photo
For this project, I decided to go a little bit off of the original photograph, which I actually photographed myself by the way! I liked the cartoon-effect the end result has of the shoes. I decided to give the shoes a solid color due to time management - there is so much detail on the original image! I added gaussian blur to a lot of the background, trying to give the effect of the sharp depth of field. I could have possibly made more things '3D' like but, I'm overall pleased with this end image.

Bird Clock
I decided to transform the original drawing of the "bird clock" into a space-aged figure. I added the stars and a glow to them, as well as the bird to create the effect of glowing space. I also added a band around his eyes as well as around his arms to give him more of a mysterious look.

CBudd Photography Logo
For my own photography business logo, I wanted to something very simple but a little different than most photography logos. I wanted to stay away from the typical initials of the photographer in a circle and I went for a more "boxy" look. Keeping the look of photography within the logo, I thought the outline of half of a camera around the text was just the right amount of emphasis on the business. My sketches previously were far too complex and would be unrecognizable from far away. I chose to have "CBudd" in a cursive font because I wanted it to appear as my signature. I also made it larger than the word photography so it was the most noticeable thing about the logo. As for the color theme, I went with red and black simply because I just recently designed business cards using this logo, and the image I used of myself consisted of these colors. However, I do think that I will stick with these colors for right now. In the future I might choose to lighten them or go with more pastel-like colors. Overall I am really satisfied with this logo because it is simple yet different than most photography logos.
The process of the logo...
