Vector Photo

For this project, I decided to go a little bit off of the original photograph, which I actually photographed myself by the way! I liked the cartoon-effect the end result has of the shoes. I decided to give the shoes a solid color due to time management - there is so much detail on the original image! I added gaussian blur to a lot of the background, trying to give the effect of the sharp depth of field. I could have possibly made more things '3D' like but, I'm overall pleased with this end image.

Bird Clock

I decided to transform the original drawing of the "bird clock" into a space-aged figure. I added the stars and a glow to them, as well as the bird to create the effect of glowing space. I also added a band around his eyes as well as around his arms to give him more of a mysterious look.

CBudd Photography Logo

For my own photography business logo, I wanted to something very simple but a little different than most photography logos. I wanted to stay away from the typical initials of the photographer in a circle and I went for a more "boxy" look. Keeping the look of photography within the logo, I thought the outline of half of a camera around the text was just the right amount of emphasis on the business. My sketches previously were far too complex and would be unrecognizable from far away. I chose to have "CBudd" in a cursive font because I wanted it to appear as my signature. I also made it larger than the word photography so it was the most noticeable thing about the logo. As for the color theme, I went with red and black simply because I just recently designed business cards using this logo, and the image I used of myself consisted of these colors. However, I do think that I will stick with these colors for right now. In the future I might choose to lighten them or go with more pastel-like colors. Overall I am really satisfied with this logo because it is simple yet different than most photography logos.
